Reference:

Installation / Update

  1. Open cPanel server console SSH and login as root (it is required for the user to be exactly "root", other users - even with root privileges - may not have all required permissions for plugin installation).

  2. Execute installation command:

  3. Important Enable FTP passive mode (if it was not enabled earlier), following official cPanel documentation
  4. Important Whitelist Site.pro IPs (if they are not allowed by default) on cPanel server firewall
    You may have one of these firewalls: CSF, Imunify360, iptables, firewalld, UFW or other.
  5. Log in to WHM as admin or reseller.
  6. Navigate to "List Accounts" page:

  7. Click on "cP" icon to log in as user:
    cPanel log in as user
  8. Click on "Website Builder" icon in "Software" section to open website builder (icon can differ):

  9. Select the required domain from the list.
  10. Make sure that website builder opens successfully.
  11. Publish a website for test.

How to switch publication from FTP to SSH? available only for On-Premises

By default builder publishes websites on cPanel using FTP connection. To switch it to SSH connection, take the following steps:

  1. make sure that the customer is given "SSH Access & Terminal" through Feature Manager for his used package
  2. log in to server SSH console as root
  3. create file /var/cpanel/sitebuilder/upload_type.txt, add a single word "ssh" and save the file

* Builder will use SSH connection only for those customers who have SSH access enabled in their accounts.

Uninstallation

  1. Open cPanel server console SSH and login as root.
  2. Execute uninstallation command:
